MINUTES OF THE EGYPTIAN HEALTH DEPARTMENT BOARD MEETING
AUGUST 18, 2008
The Board of Directors held their regularly scheduled meeting on August 18, 2008 at the Eldorado office. Chairman Treva Aud called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m.
Roll Call: David Barker, Martin Duffy, Lavon Henshaw, Dwight Howton, Judy Humphrey, Kerry Jones, Becky Mitchell, Mike Ray, Art Saunders, Ray Smith, Jan Thaxton and Treva Aud
Absent: Kathy Bramlet, Lisa Smith and Gretchen Sutton
Approval of July 21, 2008 Board Meeting Minutes: Motion by Ray Smith; seconded by Jan Thaxton to approve the July 21, 2008 board meeting minutes. All aye.
Approval of August 2008 CQI minutes: Motion by Mike Ray; seconded by Lavon Henshaw to approve the August 2008 CQI minutes. All aye.
Finance Committee Report: Motion by Mike Ray; seconded by David Barker to approve the finance committee report for August 18, 2008. Roll call vote taken with David Barker, Martin Duffy, Lavon Henshaw, Dwight Howton, Judy Humphrey, Kerry Jones, Becky Mitchell, Mike Ray, Art Saunders, Ray Smith, and Jan Thaxton. Vote was 11 yes and 0 no. Motion carried.
Treasurer's Report: Motion by Kerry Jones; seconded by David Barker to approve the July 2008 treasurer's report. Roll call vote taken with David Barker, Martin Duffy, Lavon Henshaw, Dwight Howton, Judy Humphrey, Kerry Jones, Becky Mitchell, Mike Ray, Art Saunders, Ray Smith, and Jan Thaxton. Vote was 11 yes and 0 no. Motion carried.
CEO Report: Refer to CEO report that was included in the board packet.
Motion by Dwight Howton; seconded by Art Saunders to turn smoking complaints in restaurants or bars over to the states attorneys office if there are five or more complaints. All aye.
Motion at 8:00 p.m by Martin Duffy; seconded by Mike Ray to go into executive session under 2 ( C ) 1 of the open meetings act to discuss personnel. Roll call vote taken with David Barker, Martin Duffy, Lavon Henshaw, Dwight Howton, Judy Humphrey, Kerry Jones, Becky Mitchell, Mike Ray, Art Saunders, Ray Smith and Jan Thaxton. Vote was 11 yes and 0 no. Motion carried.

Roll call vote taken with David Barker, Martin Duffy, Lavon Henshaw, Dwight Howton, Judy Humphrey, Kerry Jones, Becky Mitchell, Mike Ray, Art Saunders, Ray Smith and Jan Thaxton. Vote was 11yes and 0 no. Motion carried.
